The reason I came to Japan is I like to travel and wanted to live in an Asian country.

I work for High Speed English because I enjoy teaching intensive style courses which are more rewarding for both the students and teachers.

The good points about High Speed English are the students. They are always highly motivated and work very hard. The curriculum is unique, yet very good for Japanese students.
Japanese people are often too shy when speaking English; they are often very modest about their ability. The high speed English philosophy suits Japanese students. I love the courses we teach, students should always speak loud, speak proud, and don’t be shy.

To be a good English teacher you need to be good at dealing with people and treat all students equal.

I am from Los Angeles, California.
My mother is from Panama and my father is American. I have lived in Japan, all over California and in the Philippines.

My hobbies include studying Japanese, watching sports, especially basketball, and listening to music or singing karaoke.
Q3.Tell us the reason that made you come to Japan.
I came to Japan, because when I was a child, my favorite teacher told us we should visit here. I worked as an international student advisor as a college student and have a strong interest about learning other cultures.
I finally visited Japan in 1995 and came back to work here in 1998 for three years. I returned to Japan in 2012 and have been here ever since.

I enjoy teaching at High Speed English because I truly believe in the impact it has on participants. I like the intense schedule and hard training we do.

High Speed English works to break the nervousness, shyness and difficulties particular to Japanese students of English. Japanese people struggle with English in general because of the way they learned English in school. High Speed English works to break those innately learned habits such as studying to read and write as opposed to speaking.
Q6.What is your fundamental belief or creed to be a good English instructor?
Flexibility is essential for any instructor. Also, I have had the opportunity to teach many kinds of people at many levels. I learned two things. One is never stop learning. The other is to be flexible and have fun!
